How to Compare Finishing Quotations in Kuwait | Al-Maghair
Two totals are only comparable when they cover the same work.
Start with the same brief
Give each contractor the same photos, approximate measurements and list of required work. Identify what must remain in place and any existing damage that needs investigation.
Compare item by item
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Preparation | What existing finishes are removed or retained, and what surface work is included? |
| Materials | Are product references, colours and approved samples clear? |
| Quantities | Are measurements and locations stated consistently? |
| Installation | Are joints, edges, fittings and maintenance access addressed? |
| Site arrangements | Are protection, waste removal and access responsibilities stated? |
| Changes and completion | How are additional work, observations and follow-up agreed? |
Ask about unclear gaps
A lower total may cover less preparation or leave work to others. Ask for the missing scope in writing before deciding. A higher total alone does not prove better workmanship.
Understand time and payments
Review the proposed work sequence and payment terms in the actual quotation. Ask what assumptions affect timing and how a change will be approved.
