Scope of Work & Change Guide | Al-Maghair Kuwait
A written scope helps you and the contractor understand the same job before work begins.
Describe each item
Record the room or location, approximate quantity or measurement, finish description and approved sample. Separate preparation, installation and final finishing where they form different items.
State inclusions and exclusions
Clarify removal of existing finishes, surface preparation, protection, waste removal, access and any work by others. Do not assume an item is included because it appears in a reference photo.
Agree on materials
Record the selected material or product reference, colour, sample and important installation details. Clarify how any proposed alternative will be reviewed before use.
Review site conditions and timing
Discuss whether the home is occupied, available working access and dependencies between trades. Record the agreed schedule and conditions that may require it to change.
Confirm changes before execution
- Describe the requested change and its exact location.
- Review its effect on materials, other items, cost and time.
- Obtain written approval before the changed work is carried out.
- Keep the revision with the original scope.
Prepare for handover
Agree on the review process, how observations are documented and who will follow them up. This guide helps organise project discussions and does not replace your actual contract.
